CCB

CCB:
Configuration Control Board

A Configuration Control Board (CCB) is a group of individuals responsible for overseeing and managing changes to a project or system's configuration. This typically includes evaluating, approving, or rejecting proposed changes to ensure that all modifications are aligned with project goals and do not negatively impact system performance or security. The CCB plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the system by ensuring that changes are systematically controlled and documented.

In practice, the CCB meets regularly to review change requests, assess their potential impact, and make decisions based on established criteria. These meetings facilitate communication among stakeholders, promote transparency, and help to minimize risks associated with changes. By having a structured approach to configuration management, the CCB helps organizations maintain a secure and reliable environment, particularly in sectors where compliance and information security are critical.
