Angle-Polished Connector

An Angle-Polished Connector (APC) is a type of optical fiber connector that features a polished end-face at an angle, typically 8 degrees. This angled design minimizes the amount of light that reflects back into the fiber, which can help reduce signal loss and improve the overall performance of optical networks. APC connectors are commonly used in high-performance applications, such as telecommunications and data centers, where maintaining signal integrity is crucial.

The primary advantage of APC connectors over standard connectors, such as Ultra-Polished Connectors (UPC), is their ability to significantly decrease back reflections, which can interfere with the signal quality.
